Astragalus for Menopause Symptoms
Astragalus is an herb that has been used in Chinese medicine for centuries. But I had never heard of it until my friend Stephanie mentioned it a few weeks ago. She had heard it supports longevity and quality of life as we age. Well that’s very non-specific so I was skeptical, but it couldn’t hurt to try it so I did.
I found a reputable brand in store online and in stores. A 1 ounce dropper bottle cost $14.15 at my local H-E-B. The same bottle is available for sale online from herb.com but it is more expensive at $17.98 plus you pay shipping cost of 599 with a two week wait I opted for the local H-E-B on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. I popped out just as a Super Bowl was starting so there were only a few people out
Once I made a cup of herbal tea and added a small squeeze of the dropper probably five drops I could definitely taste the added extract , bitter with the touch of sweetness. It was more than tolerable. I thought the flavor was OK after about 20 minutes, I did notice a calming effect. I just felt like I was in a better frame of mind less stressed and calm. It felt fantastic. I became an official believer in astragalus use .
Astragalus’s calming effects and other health benefits
Since Astragalus is considered an adaption, it can help the body respond to physical, environmental and emotional stressors. This can cause a feeling of calm and activate the immune system along with reducing inflammation. Astis causes a calming effect for some people, but others feel energized after using the effects are different for everyone so it’s best to try it at a time when you are at home maybe over the weekend, once you know how it affects you you can use it at the best time for you like in the morning or calming at night
I’ve been using a dose of astragalus in the morning and evening, I’m less anxious in the morning about the stressful day ahead. I spend my workdays with teenagers and when I finally get home from teaching high school all day and my college class in the evening, another dose helps me settle down for a good nights sleep, the results are noticeable and I look forward to my doses
Astis as an immunity booster.
Astra Galis contains antioxidants that may prevent cell damage and it may also increase the bodies production of white blood cells which can help fight off illness or infection.
The studies available now on Astra are small so the health benefits are still unclear imagine there will be larger more definitive studies happening in the near future as Astra is popularity is on the rise.
Some general benefits of Astrid may improve symptoms of chronic fatigue and seasonal allergies may aid people with heart conditions, kidney disease, and type two diabetes may help relieve symptoms of heart disease, lower cholesterol levels and improve. Heart function may help protect the kidneys and may help treat kidney disease , while I can’t readily tell if Astrid is helping me with any of these, it’s good to know this supplement can do all of these things.
Astra is effect on menopause symptoms.
Some research suggest that Astragalus can reduce hot flashes. It may also improve symptoms of osteoporosis.
My take on Astrid Alexis
Since I had such a difficult time sleeping during menopause, I’m always looking for ways to support sleep and ask did help me relax before bed, interestingly a dose in the morning gave me a sense of calm and an ability to fight stress and anxiety during the day. I felt fantastic after using it for many menopausal women who suffer from mood swings myself included, as could definitely be a beneficial supplement
